Club activities will take place alternately at ESADE Barcelona and ESADE Madrid.

Annual Forum

An important event in terms of impact in the management and institutional context will be organized each year. This may take place in Spain or China without excluding any other country in Europe.

Frequency: 2 conferences per year

Venue: ESADE Campus Barcelona and Madrid (alternating)

Participants: Chinese firms and Club members, other multinationals and institutions depending on the subject matter.

Communication: the conferences will be organized with support from a media partner.

  • Breakfast Seminar “One Belt One Road in the Era of the Globalization Reversal”
    Seminar held and on Monday 15 May 2017, 10.00 am in ESADECreapolis, in which Tamyko Ysa, Vice-Dean of Research in ESADE and Yabin WU. Executive Dean. Institute for Global Value Chains, University of International Business and Economics gave us a speech in the seminar introduction. In the second part, Yabin WU. Executive Dean. Institute for Global Value Chains, University of International Business and Economics; Bai GAO. High-speed Railway Development Research Center, Southwest Jiaotong University; Jaume Hugas, Department of Operations, Innovation and Data Sciences in ESADE and Carles Roig, Department of Operations, Innovation and Data Sciences in ESADE had a conversation about the topic “One Belt One Road in the Era of the Globalization Reversal” . The seminar finished by a guided tour of ESADECREAPOLIS led by its Director General, Mr. Oriol Alcoba. The Economic and Commercial Counselor of Chinese Embassy in Spain, Sr. Yingqi Wang; some institutional representatives and members of ESADE China Europe Club attended to the event, such as Cuatrecasas, Keeway Motor, Acció, COSCO SHIPPING, Haier, Air China, Antai Trading, China Certification Inspection Group, Baosteel, ZPMC y AVIC.[read more]
  • Delegación del grupo del ex presidente del Bank of China
    El pasado día 5 de Mayo, China Construction Bank (Europe) Sucursal en España recibió la delegación del grupo del ex presidente del Bank of China, Sr. Lihui Li. Asistieron Liu Jiang, director general de CCB en Barcelona; Lu Wang, CFO de China Certification Inspection Group Barcelona; Ruiqi Li, CFO de Huayi Compressor Barcelona; Shenghao Yan, director general de Baosteel Barcelona; Veronica Tan, Ayuntamiento de Barcelona y Qiaoshan Xue, Project Manager de ESADE China Europe Club. Qiaoshan hizo una breve presentación de ESADE y ESADE China Europe Club, entregó el informe de la profesora Ivana Casaburi a los directivos de empresas chinas, Tendencias de la Inversión china en Europa 2016-17.   • Visita de la Asociación de Alumnos Chinos de ESADE a Barcelona Activa
    El pasado día 24 de abril, ESADE China Europe Club (ECEC) y Barcelona Activa organizaron conjuntamente una visita para los miembros de la Asociación de Alumnos Chinos de ESADE (ESCA) a Barcelona Activa. Asistieron 14 alumnos acompañados de la Project Manager de ECEC, Qiaoshan Xue y presidente de ESCA, Jiang Li. Fueron recibidos por la Sra. Judith Romera, Head of In-City Promotion y la Sra. Veronica Tan, Direcció de Promoció de la Ciutat. Veronica hizo un discurso sobre los servicios y programas de Barcelona Activa para los emprendedores, luego acompañó a visitar Barcelona Activa’s Entrepreneurship Centre and Business Incubator.[read more]
  • Conference Series - Lisboa: Chinese investment in Europe: China casts its eye on Southern Europe
    Nova School of Business and Economics, ESADE Business School and Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira e Associados jointly organized this conference last Wednesday, March 22, at Nova SBE (Lisboa). Professors from both schools and some senior executives from Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira e Associados as well as other companies joined together and shared valuable insights on recent economic situations and growing potentials in China and Southern Europe.

    In the opening session, participated Daniel Traça, Professor and Dean at Nova School of Business and Economics; Josep Franch, Professor and Dean at ESADE Business School and Gonçalo Bastos Lopes, Partner at Cuatrecasas.

    The event included two panel discussions. In the first one, "Trends in Chinese Investment in Europe", Prof. Ivana Casaburi, Professor of ESADE and Director of the ESADE China Europe Club made a report presentation of “Chinese Investment Trends in Europe 2016-17”. Also participated Luis Amado, Former Minister of State and Foreign Affairs; Francisco Mendes Palma, CEO AICEP Global Parques and You Zhang, Chief Representative Officer at ICBC Portugal.

    In the second one, “Opportunities and Challenges for Chinese Investors in Portugal”, participated Bernardo Mendia, Vice-President Associação Jovens Empresários Portugal-China; Vasco Bivar de Azevedo, Partner at Cuatrecasas; Sérgio Martins Alves, General Secretary of CCILC- Câmara de Comercio e Indústria Luso-Chinesa; Yong Wen, Executive Director, Level Constellation and Daniel Traça, Professor and Dean at Nova School of Business and Economics.

    In the closure of the conference, we had the presence of Manuel Caldeira Cabral, Minister of Economy.[read more]
